The "BAT BASH"

We are hosting a dance at our high school called the "Bat Bash" with a Halloween theme!  We are pulling in help from our school's art club to make it awesome, including creating a haunted house.  We are really looking forward to making this the best dance we can, while fundraising for such an amazing nonprofit.

Book Drive!

That's right!  We are hosting a book drive in our area to help collect books in order to stalk the community center in Kerala!  Mack and Jennifer are taking over the project by planning where and what specifically we want to take with us to Kerala.  These books will help anyone in the community who wants to work on their English reading and writing.  We are looking forward to bringing these items with us to India!

Indian Currency

Did you know...

India's currency is called the rupee? One rupee is equivalent to about 0.0181 American dollars. The first "rupee" is believed to be introduced by Sher Shah Suri (1486-1545), based on a ratio of 40 copper-coin pieces (paisa) per rupee.  And you have to love the colors!

A Generous Community

For part of our fundraising we did a HUGE letter writing campaign.  We gathered names of our neighbors and friends and we wrote to them about what we are doing and how they could help.  The response has been AMAZING and we are getting closer to reaching our goal with every donation that we receive.  We would all like to say a BIG thank you to the kind, generous and loving people who are supporting us in our mission and supporting the Hope Charities Clinic.
