Day 2 - Agra

Nathan arrived safely last night and after a good night's sleep, we all awoke early and ready for a long travel day.  It was about 5 hours to reach Agra (home of the Taj Mahal).  The road was straight and flat but slow going because of the traffic.  Traffic here includes bicycle rickshaws, motor rickshaws, cars, buses, trucks, bicycles, foot traffic, donkey carts, ox charts, cows, water buffalo, monkeys, motorcycles - you name it, they have it.

Quote of the day:  "Traffic laws are only a suggestion."

We arrived in Agra, checked into our hotel and went out for lunch.  Today's lunch was at the Only restaurant in Agra - really - the restaurant's name is "The Only Restaurant".  We ate outside and enjoyed a wonderful Indian meal with the Agra specialty dessert - petha - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petha.

After lunch we headed straight over to see the Taj Mahal.  We only had a couple of hours, but we enjoyed the fantastic light of the late afternoon.

More photo and reports to come as soon as we settle down a bit.
