  1. I love seeing all your photos and following your progress in color-- not to mention your excellent descriptions of all your activities. It sounds like you are eating like Kings and Queens at Daisy's--plentiful and healthy meals, which is awesome. (No need for that instant oatmeal, right?) The high school kids you are interacting with look like interesting, inquisitive students and it's wonderful you all are able to connect and have such close interactions with each other. It's rare to be able to have such direct contact with students your same age from such a different culture. Keep up all your good efforts! It's also great to see that your group is working so well together and you make a fabulous team! Sorry to hear Nate and Adam were a bit under the weather. Hope everyone else stays healthy and gets plenty of rest... I look forward to hearing more about what you are doing each day, so keep the posts and pictures coming! You guys are awesome! With much love, Sarah

  2. It appears that you have taken to Kerala just as Karala residents seem to have taken to you. What an incredible opportunity you have been given to get to interact so much with students your own age. I'm sure they were a bit jealous of your casual attire while they were in their school uniforms. Have you found out how their classes compare to what you are studying? What a risk you guys took teaching them the Hokey Pokey!!! We got a kick out of the video and noticed that Mack must have gone missing from all dancing opportunities.

Any more instruction on Cricket from the local kids? That would be a great thing to teach your fellow students during PE so Mr Pridemore could have a break.

Was a beautiful NW day today but the rain is soon returning so we are envious of your warm/sunny surroundings.

Keep blogging - your photos and entries are fantastic! Leslie

  3. Fabulous pictures and posts! It is great to see and hear about so many of the things thatyou are doing. how fabulous to be developing these relationships with the students there. What a rare and unique opportunity.
Looks and sounds like it is pretty hot there but you all look no worse for the wear. With all of the yummy food and lots of good rest I am sure that you will be fine.
Sorry about Nathan and Adam. hope you both feel better soon and hope that no one else gets sick. So far so good!
PJA would love to have a picture of its alum to show off if that is possible so I hope that someone can take a picture of Anna, Maya, Lily, and Nathan and of course Adam the alum dad so that we can proudly hang up your picture in our front lobby! We are really proud of who you are and what you are doing, all of you. Keep up the great work, have fun, enjoy it all, and keep writing and sending these great posts and pictures. It really helps us to have a sense of the things you are doing. Hope you are all treating Kathy, Karl, Jennifer, Adam, and patrick well, not to speak of Daisy and the whole crew at the house.
    Love to all.

  4. You guys are all amazing. The debate sounded pretty interesting with the Kerala students. I am sure you are going to have a lot of give and take with them over the next several days. Love the posting of Lily and assume the superstars post was Claire and Mark (Clur n Mrk). The photos are such a great touch and your composition has been very nice. Do they have any hoops courts over there or soccer fields? Nice here past three days but 30s at night. Maybe that sounds good to you as I heard it was a touch warm in Kerala. Final BCS rankings and bowl pairings Sunday. Notre Dame in championship against Alabama/Georgia winner. Very proud and amazed at each of you. You look so happy in the photos. You are representing all of us very well. Hope you stay well. Big thanks to Karl and Jennifer for overseeing everything and preparing the students.

  5. Too bad Mr. Pridemore couldn't be along. He is very good at the Hokey Pokey and grapevine.

  6. I am enjoying your blog. The early photos in Northern India reminded me of when Grandpa "Wig" and I visited back in 1987, before any of you were born!

You are obviously all working hard despite the heat, and still managing to have a blast! Here in England Lily's mum is looking after me very well.
    Love from Grandma Wig.
