Today, our group woke up early and headed to the Amber Fort,
just a few miles outside of Jaipur. There, we waited patiently in line to ride
elephants. Everyone rode elephants up the winding road to the fort. Once
inside, we took a tour of the beautiful structure led by our guide C.V. The
fort was incredibly fascinating due to its design. It had what seemed like
hundreds of passageways, stairways, and hallways. We spent an hour exploring
these spaces. After our journey throughout the fort, we took jeeps back down to
the tour bus and headed back to Jaipur. In Jaipur, we visited the City Palace
Museum and the Jantar Mantar. The Jantar Mantar had different historical
artifacts that allowed older generations to track the sun and stars. We then
maneuvered through the hectic streets of Jaipur. We dodged traffic as we took
pictures of the daily lives of the locals.
